Name and Shame
To err is human and to forgive is
divine as they say, after all we all make mistakes at times. It is my
personal opinion that you can tell the quality of a business by the way
in which it handles the complaints of its customers. A good company will
go to any lengths to maintain a good reputation and put right any
mistakes or other problems that their customers encounter.
The good old British Broadcasting Company started a programme many years
ago called Watchdog. The programme takes the complaints of its viewers
and tries to reach resolution for them, if necessary naming and shaming
companies that they can’t reach resolutions with. We plan to take the
bold move to do the same for our readers. This feature will be a regular
feature in the mag. We plan to take up complaints on your behalf and to
publish the results of these complaints, naming and shaming those
companies who offer no solutions to your complaints. The press can often
get better results to complaints than good old Joe public, and good
companies will benefit from having their names mentioned on here for
working with us to resolve their customers' problems.
I hear you say that this is unusual for a magazine to publish the
complaints of consumers, as it may affect the way companies see the
magazine in terms of advertising. Well to be fair you are probably right
in some respects; however we believe that we shouldn’t be advertising
companies who treat our readers badly. This publication will back our
readers and do the best to give you impartial support.
There are also times, however, when companies need support as well. This
section of the mag can also be used for announcements from the bike
industry, whether it is for a product recall, or because they are being
blamed for someone else’s poor workmanship, or poor customer support.
Manic Motorcycles
(Spalding Lincs)
I was contacted recently By Mark at Manic Motorcycles, who is
based in Spalding, Lincolnshire. He has been contacted by several
customers of another company calling them selves Manic Motorcycles, but
this other company allegedly comes from the London area. Apparently this
other company have produced some work for some of their customers, which
allegedly has been of a sub standard quality. We have done our best to
find this company in the London area, but as yet have drawn a blank. If
anyone knows of the company in question please contact me
pjmentalnurse@hotmail.co.uk and I will try to contact them to
resolve any complaints with them.
Manic Motorcycles in Spalding have asked me to make the readers aware
that they have nothing, and never have had anything, to do with the
company of the same name in the South of the UK. They would like to
assure our readers that they always give the very best service and
aftercare to their customers.
If you would like us to investigate any complaints you may have contact
me at
sub-zeromotorcyclemag@hotmail.co.uk and I will do my best to resolve
your problems. |
