Way back in 1984 Arnold Schwarzenegger stared in the James Cameron feature film Terminator. It was a far fetched futuristic time travel movie, where a cyborg, or more exactly a T-800 series Terminator, Cyberdyne Systems Model 101, played by good old Swarzenegger, traveled through time to kill the mother of the savoir of the human race, Sarah Conner, before she could give birth to her son. What a great concept.

Can you imagine if you could get your hands on this type of technology, you could go back in time and get rid of the mother of Maurice Gatsonides, the guy who invented speed cameras, or even the mother of Herbert Morrison, the minister of transport who in 1930 introduced the Road Traffic Act, and was responsible for the 30 MPH speed limit. Sorry getting carried away now with fiction, back to the job in hand.

You would be excused for thinking that the T-800 series had been redesigned into the form of a CBR 900 RR, as this bike

clearly carries the head of the cyborg as its fairing. This type of fairing is proving very popular at the moment and appears on several of the bikes we have featured in the mag. This one however has been custom made by the owner Torsten, AKA Outlaw 6660 from Germany. He painstakingly fabricated this fairing in the style of one that he previously owned, but made it much more aggressive in styling, by remodelling the top of the fairing. This guy really is talented with glass fibre.

The same treatment was given to the tank and belly pan, which were completely fabricated from Glass Fibre. This bike has more fins than a hammerhead shark and I dare say it’s a damn site more aggressive too. Just take a close look at the bodywork and you have to marvel at the craftsmanship. There has obviously been a great deal of time spent in fabrication on this bike. I would just love to have this sort of talent, fabrication when it’s done well sure is an art form, and boy has this been done well.

This bike is certainly not a tarts handbag either; it carries much, much more than a few cosmetic modifications. Although the engine is a stock engine and we all know how powerful the blade engine is, the kat has been removed and a Powercommander has been added for that little extra kick and all round power delivery.

A Leo Vince exhaust system has been added to deal with the gasses and the rocker cover and the Stater cover have also been fabricated by the owner, complete with observation style windows.

The attention to detail of this bike is amazing, even down to the home made billet sprocket cover and the chrome plated engine covers, front breaks and airbox and much more polished parts.

The breaking and clutch systems have also been changed to ISR kit which will make the awesome power of the blade easier and smoother to handle, not to mention easier to stop.

Even the bars, bar holders and the grips are made by Torsten, and boy do they stand out from the crowd. All the polishing was also done by the owner.

The paintwork was laid down by a professional painter friend of Torsten’s, whom wishes to remain anonymous. I am not sure why he wishes his work to remain anonymous, but can only guess that he wouldn’t be able to cope with the demand, once people see the quality if this job.

This bike is a truly awesome machine, with much of the work done and fabricated by the owner. This is certainly German built technology at its best, “
Vorsprung durch technik”.
